WKQ Media has added two media buyers this cycle. Asher-Leigh Boone joined in August as Senior Media Buyer, and Sara Heller joined this fall as Media Buyer. Both work alongside Michael O’Meara, SVP, Media Buying, on campaigns for unions, advocacy organizations, independent expenditures and the agencies that bring WKQ in.
Asher-Leigh leads WKQ’s local advocacy work and buys across the full client book. She brings five years of media buying and four years in progressive politics, with experience across paid social, programmatic, CTV and audio. She serves on the Regional Council for Citizen Action of New York’s Metro Area and as Media and Communications Chair for the Northern Dutchess NAACP, and is a graduate of the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany, SUNY.
Sara buys across Meta, Google and the demand-side platforms, with a background in progressive politics and political strategy. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from the University of Georgia and the University of London, and is based in the Atlanta area.
“Most of the team came up through campaigns and advocacy work before they came to media buying, and that is on purpose,” said Bill Redding, CEO and Founder of WKQ Media. “Asher-Leigh and Sara know what a campaign is trying to do before the media plan exists. That is what we want on the desk in the last weeks of a cycle.”
